An outstanding Greek red wine (unfiltered) from Crete by the Strataridakis winery that blends exceptionally well the local red wine variety of Kotsifali 50% with 50% of Syrah. A winery that’s part of one of Greece’s long standing wine families, Tsantali with 125 years of experience in wine making.
Ichnilatis red wine has a deep red colour with ruby glints, dark cherries and forest fruits on the mouth with velvety body and buttery aftertaste and discreet noble tannins. Fragrances of red fruits in a background of vanilla notes.
A red wine with a luscious finish that has been matured for 12 months in French oak barrels and with great ageing potential. Ideal combination for meat with rich sauces and with mature cheeses. Perfect pairing to red hearty meat dishes, game meat, especially lamb, casseroles and BBQ meats.
A gold award winning vintage with impressive scores, including 95 points by Decanter Word Wine Awards.
