Chardonnay & Malagouzia White Wine – Armyra | Domaine Skouras
An exceptional Greek wine made from Chardonnay 95% and Malagouzia 5% and grown at 60m altitude in Peloponnese. The colour is green-yellow with a few greenish hues. The nose opens with aromas of ripe white peach, tropical fruit, such as pineapple and mango, and hints of lemon. Aromas of luscious butter, bread and caramel follow beautifully. The mouth is rich and smooth, with floral and vanilla notes and flavours similar to those on the nose and balanced by crisp, freshness acidity. The finish is long, complex, and with constant evolution while still showing a slight oak depth.
Seventy per cent fermented in stainless steel vats and 30% fermented and aged in new French barriques for 6 months. Short skin contact, full malolactic fermentation in barriques and batonnage. Stelvin closure. Fresh, balancing fruit and oak elements.
If there is a Chardonnay to try this summer, this is the one! Perfect as an aperitif and the ideal companion to oysters, sushi, grilled fish and white meat, and it is great to sip with goat’s and white cheeses too.
Winner of various awards and with an impressive rating of 90pts by Vinepair and in the TOP 25 Chardonnay wines in the world!
